Coming off a very successful BBQ in the South Bay, the Columbia Alumni Club of Northern California is hosting another BBQ this summer. But, this time, it's in the East Bay!
You and your
family are invited to come to Tilden Park in Berkeley for a fun BBQ
on Saturday, July 23.
We have the Carousel picnic area reserved, and, as the name suggests,
this picnic area is adjacent to the Merry-Go-Round, which will be a fun
thing for the kids. In addition, in the early afternoon, we can organize a caravan to ride the Tilden Steam Train.
Tentative Schedule ------------------ 11:00-12:00 : Meet Other Alumni & Eat 12:00 - 12:45: Carousel ($2.00 per ride) 1:00 - 1:30 : Steam Train ($2.00 per ride. Free: Under 2 years)
We
will provide traditional BBQ food (hot dogs, burgers, simple snacks for the kids, and
disposable tableware). However, if there are specific
snacks you would like for your child please feel free to bring them
along.
If you're interested in volunteering, we are looking for one or two volunteers to be Greeters and Grillers (your ticket will be complimentary -- please contact Rod Brathwaite). :-)
